How do I know which class is right for my child?
Age recommendations for each Kindermusik class are made to ensure that children are grouped in a developmentally appropriate way. Your child needs to be at least the minimum age for the chosen class by the start of the semester.
We are more than happy to discuss your child’s needs if you would believe he or she would be better suited to a different age group.
Why should I register early?
Apart from receiving a $20 discount from your total fees prices, you will also be ensured a place in the class of your choice!
Although you may join our classes at any time, early registration is beneficial because class sizes are limited and many fill quickly. Registering at least three weeks before the semester begins also ensures that we will have your child’s materials for you at your first class.
How will I know if my enrollment was successful?
We need to receive your enrolment form and a non-refundable deposit (as stated on the enrolment form) before your enrolment will be confirmed. We will contact you within two weeks by e-mail or phone to confirm registration.
Home materials will be ordered when you enrol and will not always be available at your first class.
Do we need to purchase the At Home Materials?
Yes, the At Home Materials come as a part of the Kindermusik experience.
The classes you attend each week are only the first step in your child’s musical learning experience. Specially developed, high quality home materials are provided to you as an integral part of the program and should be used regularly to consolidate and extend on class activities. This also gives other members of your family the chance to share the Kindermusik experience.
You may notice that your child seems completely different when experiencing Kindermusik activities at home. This is due to the social nature of your class, where your child interacts with others. Children who frequently reinforce and enjoy activities in their home environment will feel more secure and comfortable in class and will participate more.
I have twins/two children who will be in the same class. Do I get a discount?
The price for the first child will be the regular listed cost for the class. The price for the second child attending will be reduced. This is becuase they will recieve a "Sibling Kit" of At Home Materials which excludes products from the kit that the child can share with their other sibling. This reduces the need for "doubling up" of unneccesary items, and therefore reducing the cost.
What happens if I miss a class?
Refunds are not given for missed classes. Classes can be made up if there is room at a different class time, however, this must be arranged before the end of the term/semester. If you feel you have extenuating circumstances preventing you from coming to class, please discuss this with Kylie or Jill.
